Lucas: Musicians to honor Grappelli and Reinhardt at The Jazz Corner tonight

Violinist Aaron Weinstein and guitarist Matt Munisteri will honor the music of Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhart this weekend at The Jazz Corner.

Weinstein has performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the Lincoln Center as well as a number of jazz festivals around the world.

He has performed and recorded with a number of jazz greats including Les Paul, Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman and many others.

Munisteri, considered a critically-lauded songwriter and lyricist, has had several chart-topping jazz CDs.

A Brooklyn native who grew up playing bluegrass banjo, Munisteri has recorded with a wide variety of artists and played on Loudon Wainwright's 2010 Grammy-winning CD High Wide and Handsome - The Charlie Poole Project.

The pair will play at 8 p.m. tonight Jan. 22 and Jan. 23 at the club, at 1000 William Hilton Parkway (in the Village at Wexford), Hilton Head.

The show costs $20.
