Lucas: Jazz Corner's All-Star Quintet to honor the Duke
The Jazz Corner's All-Star Quintet will honor the music of the Duke, as in Duke Ellington, this weekend.
Pianist Will Snyder, bassist David Masteller, drummer Robert Britton Saunders, saxophonist Chris Reardon and special guest trumpeter Dan Rollan will celebrate the music of the iconic jazz master with two shows beginning at 8 p.m. Jan. 8 and Jan. 9.
The creator of big-band music, Ellington composed thousands of scores over his 50-year career.
Doors open at 6 p.m.
The cost is $12.50.
The Jazz Corner is at 1000 William Hilton Parkway (in the Village at Wexford), Hilton Head.
