Lucas: Lavon Stevens Quartet, Deas Guyz to play Jazz Corner

Two of the area's favorite musical groups will play The Jazz Corner this weekend.

The Lavon Stevens Quartet, led by pianist and vocalist Lavon Stevens, will play the club Saturday.

Stevens is joined by vocalist Louise Spencer, drummer Jimmy Charles and bassist and vocalist Clarence Williams for this night of blues, jazz and Broadway music.

The show is 8-11 p.m. and costs $7.50.

Then, Lowcountry favorites Deas Guyz will follow on Sunday.

Deas Guyz plays a mix of Motown, R&B, pop, rock, reggae and dance music.

The show is 8-11 p.m. and costs $10.

The Jazz Corner is at 1000 William Hilton Parkway (in the Village at Wexford), Hilton Head.
