“Pippin,” a Tony Award-winning musical, is the third and final production of the Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute’s summer series and runs through Aug. 7 at the Hilton Head Island High School Seahawk Cultural Center, 70 Wilborn Road, Hilton Head Island.
“Pippin” is the story of a young prince, heir to the throne, who is searching for his own “corner of the sky.” The leading role of Pippin is played by Gavin Harriman, a 2016 Hilton Head Island High School graduate. Harriman, the only local cast member, is joined by a group of actors from 26 states and four countries and a Broadway-credentialed creative team.
Mark Burrell, director/choreographer of the local production, was associate choreographer, dance captain/swing in the first national tour of “Pippin.” He was associate choreographer for the Radio City Rockettes for the past 11 years.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students.
