Cast of May River Theatre’s ‘The Miracle Worker’ announced

May River Theatre Company will present “The Miracle Worker,” by William Gibson, from Aug. 13 through Aug. 28 at Ulmer Auditorium in Bluffton Town Hall. Performances will be 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings and at 3 p.m. Sunday matinees.

Ron Ruckle will direct. Ellie Lentz will play Helen Keller with Aurora Liptak as her understudy. Liptak will also play Jimmy. Rebecca Donaldson will play Keller’s teacher, Annie Sullivan. Christine Grefe will play Kate, Helen’s mother, while J.T. Chinn will play her father. James, Helen’s brother, will be played by Stephan Bonnar.

Other cast members include Sheila Kadra as Aunt Ev; Michelle McElroy as Viney; Lily Beck as Percy; Tony Falgiani as Anagnos; Hope Ruckle as Ami Hughey, Haylie Star, Lily Leto, Talia Boudjemda and Sadie O’Connor will all play the blind girls.
