National tour of ‘Hamilton’ stopping in the Lowcountry. Here’s how to get tickets
The North American tour of “Hamilton” will be on stage in North Charleston in July.
The show will offer 16 performances over two weeks, July 13-24, according to a news release from the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.
“Finally, the wait is over!” arts center manager Frank Lapsley said in the release.
“Hamilton” tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton with a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway. The Broadway show, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, has won Tony, Grammy and Oliver awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Season tickets for the Best of Broadway series go on sale for the general public on Monday, March 28, at 10 a.m. Packages start at $277, but may be reserved for a $50 down payment.
Individual show tickets will go on sale at a later date that was not specified in the news release.
In addition to “Hamilton,” the season also includes “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Disney’s Aladdin,” “Annie,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “The Book of Mormon.”
All performances are at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center, 5001 Coliseum Drive in North Charleston.
