Bluffton resident releases collection of poetry

“Defense Mechanisms,” a collection of poetry by Bluffton resident Jessica Goody, was recently published, according to a news release.

“The poems cover a wide variety of subject matter, but the main theme is Hope — the triumph over pain and trauma and the resilience of the human spirit. The title stems from the fact that nearly every part of nature, as I see it, is a defense mechanism, a way of coping with life and above all, survival,” said Goody.

The collection is available on Amazon.
