Love cars and film? Coligny Theatre might just have the perfect event for you

Vintage Auto Film Exhibition will showcase three films filled with automotive culture and heritage Nov. 3 at Coligny Theatre at 1 North Forest Beach Drive on Hilton Head Island.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry’s Disaster Recovery and Rebuilding Fund in support of Hurricane Matthew relief efforts in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton counties.

A reception with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and a meet and greet begin at 6:15 p.m. The program begins at 7 p.m. and the screening ends at 9:15 p.m.

The films include “Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman,” “Climb Dance” and “The Red Grifo.” Trailers for each film may be viewed at VintageAutoTV.com.

“Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman” delves into the 35-year driving career of Paul Newman, an Academy Award-winning actor, and how he won four national championships as a driver and eight championships as an owner.

“Climb Dance” is the iconic rally film celebrating the Pikes Peak Hill Climb victories of Ari Vatanen in 1998 and Robby Unser in 1989.

“The Red Grifo” is a documentary about a man, his car and a connection to his father spanning more than 25 years. Learn about the history of a small, family-based, car company in Bresso that welded high Italian design together with American muscle to form one of the most desirable grand touring cars of all time.
