Crescendo, a celebration of the arts on Hilton Head, offers more than 100 arts and cultural events in the visual, performing and literary arts, during much of October and November. Saturday’s Lantern Parade commemorates the final day of Crescendo.

The Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade lineup is at 5 p.m. Saturday at South Forest Beach. The parade begins at 5:45 pm. Participants start at Alder Lane beach access, and spectators enter at Coligny Beach Park.

On Friday night, visitors can see the lanterns at Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park from 6-8 p.m., with a drive-through puppet safari and the chance to see a variety of large lanterns up close from the car.
