'The Odyssey,' 'Minions & Monsters' added to Universal Studios

May 29 (UPI) -- Universal Studios Hollywood announced attractions for Mega Movie Summer on Friday. Mega Movie Summer runs June 13 - Aug. 9 at the Los Angeles theme park.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, in theaters July 17, will be represented on the studio tram tour. A ship from the Homeric epic will be featured, and behind-the-scenes footage played on the tram.

Characters from Minions & Monsters will be greeting guests in Super Silly Fun Land near the Despicable Me Minions Mayhem attraction. The film, in theaters July 1, introducedsHenry and James who will appear in the theme park.

The Minions Cafe and Despicable Delights are adding new desserts and a carbonara pasta dish based on James in the Cafe.

The roller coaster Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift opens this summer. Near the coaster, a Street Racers dance show and Dj will also celebrate the original film's 25th anniversary. Themed foods include La Familia Meal, BBQ Corn Ribs and more, but not a tuna sandwich on white bread with no crust like Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) ordered from Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster).

Performers dressed as Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked will be available for photo ops. Jaws food and merchandise include a Lobster Role and a Loungefly crossbody bag.

Near the park, CitiWalk also includes Mega Movie Summer memorabilia. The Odyssey's Trojan Horse will stand 34 feet tall in July in front of the AMC theater.

CitiWalk restaurants are also offering themed food and beverages.
