FINS SWIM WELL AT WINTER CLASSIC

The Fins Swim Team participated recently at the SST Winter Classic at the Chatham County (Ga.) Aquatic Center, an event that featured 500 swimmers from Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas.

Jake Minasi led the Bluffton-based team with seven top-five finishes, including four first-place finishes in the Boys 13-14 division (1650-yard freestyle, 200 backstroke, 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke). Sebastian Bedon also had a first-place finish in the Boys 15 & Over 1650 freestyle. John Evans and Abby Hess also swam well for the Fins, each collecting six top-five finishes in the meet.

BEAUFORT CREW WINS 3V3 BY THE SEA

The Beaufort Crew U16 soccer team captured first place in the men's adult open division of the 3v3 By the Sea tournament on Hilton Head Island last weekend. The Crew competed in six games, including the semifinals and the championship, winning all six.

Team members were: Christian Campbell, Hector Garcia-Lopez, Josh Guiterrez, David Seguine, Oscar Tierrablanca and Brandon Videtto. The team's coach was Ron Videtto, assistant coach was Dave Seguine and manager was Karen Videtto.

The Beaufort Wild Boyz U12 squad took third place in the U13 division of the tournament, going 3-1. Team members were: Matthew Campbell, Caleb Diaz, Will Durbin, Jack Gambla, Tommy Holloway and Tyler Videtto. The team was coached by Ron Videtto with assistant Dan Durbin and manager Karen Videtto.
