Miscues, penalties and missed opportunities were the story, according to Beaufort Academy coach Wheatley Alford.
But injuries played as big a part as anything in Friday's 72-8 loss to Charleston Collegiate.
Already down quarterback Gibson Achurch and running back Charlie Humphries, Alford said the Eagles found out at game time that the Eagles would be without their starting center and guard, as well, because of flu-like symptoms.
Despite the score, Reyn Robinson continues to be a force on the ground for the Eagles, gaining 119 yards on 12 carries.

Jack Dailey scored the Eagles' only touchdown, following Robinson's 64-yard run with a 3-yard touchdown plunge. Ashton Guest added the two-point conversion.
On defense, Gavin Palmer tallied nine tackles, two for losses, with a sack and two passes defended. Ryan Strong had six tackles and a sack.
