Shameik Blackshear, Bluffton High's all-American defensive end, has arrived along with other University of South Carolina signees, according to The State.
Blackshear is listed as one of the 17 recruits who are expected to go through orientation and enroll in the June semester.
Last month, a charge of petit larceny against Blackshear was dismissed by prosecutor Ben Shelton after an alleged victim and a witness declined to testify. Blackshear had been charged after allegedly taking items from a Mill Creek home in February.
Blackshear was a highly-rated recruit even after battling injuries during his junior and senior years. He was a member of the Island Packet/Beaufort Gazette's Lowcountry 11 and earned five-star ratings from recruiting services. He tore his ACL in Bluffton's second game of the 2014 season.
