Two Battery Creek soccer players have signed to play at USC Salkehatchie this coming fall.
Girls soccer standout Morgan Doray said she wasn't originally planning to play college soccer, but was convinced that she would have a starting role at Salkehatchie .
"I really enjoyed the coach, and I liked how laid back the atmosphere was," Doray said of making her decision.
Doray, a versatile player who was moved all over the field during her time at Battery Creek, settled into the roles of center and left back, where she feels like she has a wider perspective of the field. She hopes to carry her excellence over to the college level.
Boys soccer player Ming Dang is also headed to Salkehatchie, after being persuaded by a friend who currently attends the school. The striker and left-winger scored four goals during an injury-shortened senior season.
