Hilton Head High 4, Mill Creek (Ga.) 1: The Seahawks broke open a 1-1 match at intermission with three second-half goals in a big win over Georgia's No. 1-ranked team in Class 6-A.
"The domination was -- I was extremely surprised," coach Ernie Suozzi said. "Watching them warm up, they were a big, strong physical team. They knew how to move the ball. We just came to play our style. It was a fun game to watch."
Mill Creek (10-2) took a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute but Ashley Green tied it up on a penalty kick just a minute later. Amanda Green, Emily Crick and Faith Lifer added the second-half goals for the Seahawks (12-2).

Hilton Head High returns to the field Saturday at 9 a.m. against North Gwinnett (Ga.)
Academic Magnet 11, Battery Creek 1: Kim Bigil scored the lone goal for the Dolphins, who took the Region 6-AA loss against the Raptors.
Mill Creek (Ga.) 2, Hilton Head High 1: Chris MacMurray put the Seahawks up 1-0 on a long strike from distance in the 15th but Mill Creek responded two minutes later with the game-tying goal before taking the victory.
Mill Creek added a second goal before the first half came to a close before holding on for the victory over the final 40 minutes.
The Seahawks, who fell to 11-4, host North Gwinnett (Ga.) Saturday at 11 a.m.
North Gwinnett (Ga.) 3, Beaufort High 2: Josh Vellucci netted his 19th goal of the season, but it wasn't enough to overcome the visitors from Georgia.
North Gwinnett built a 2-0 lead after the first half before holding off the Eagles, who fell to 8-4. Santee Rabon added the second goal for Beaufort High, which hosts Summerville in a Region 8-AAAA match tonight at 7 p.m.
Academic Magnet 3, Battery Creek 0: Miguel Mejia tallied six saves in goal for the Dolphins, but it wasn't enough to stave off the Raptors.
Battery Creek will look to get back on a winning note Friday against Wilson Hall at 8:30 p.m. in the Airport Tournament.
Beaufort High 7, Fort Dorchester 0: The Eagles improved to 4-1 in Region 8-AAAA and 7-8 overall with a dominating win over the Patriots.

Hilton Head High 177, Hilton Head Christian 179, Bluffton 184: The Seahawks narrowly edged the Eagles by two strokes at the Oyster Reef Golf Club on Hilton Head Island.
Bluffton's Alex Weary carded the low round of the day, firing a 38 for a Bobcats team that finished with a team total of 184. Hilton Head Christian's Danny Azaliion finished a stroke behind at 39.
Hilton Head High was led by Marshall McGarity and Charles Farrell, who both carded 43s. Drew Hall (45), Clayton Mancill (46) and Brenden Fick (46) round out the scores for the winning Seahawks.
