Hilton Head Island High 3, Stall 1: Chip Tremarelli scored a pair of goals and Chris MacMurray added another -- all in the second half -- to help the Hilton Head Island High School boys soccer team pick up a 3-1 win Tuesday over Stall, one of the top contenders in Region 8-AAA.
The win keeps Hilton Head High (11-3 overall, 5-1 region) in a tie for first with James Island while Stall (11-3, 4-2) drops into third place in the region.
Stall led 1-0 at halftime before the Seahawks came to life.

"Great second-half performance after a flat first-half performance," Seahawks coach Wayne Quinlan said. "We really bounced back and had a great second half."
MacMurray and Tremarelli also had an assist apiece, and goalkeeper Conner Goulet made eight saves on the night.
The Seahawks are back in action at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, hosting the biggest school in Georgia, Mill Creek.
Fort Dorchester 3, Beaufort High 2 (OT): The home team scored during the second overtime period to defeat the Eagles.
Hector Garcia Lopez and Santee Rabon scored the goals for Beaufort High (8-3 overall, 4-2 Region 8-AAAA), which hosts North Gwinnett (Ga.) at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Beaufort Academy 3, Hilton Head Christian 1: Conner Akers scored twice and Mike Bhoi had one goal to lead Beaufort Academy to the region win.
Charles Sanford and Andrew Gray had assists, and goalkeeper Reyn Robinson made seven saves for Beaufort Academy (8-1 overall, 5-0 region), which hosts Cathedral Academy at 7 p.m. Friday.
Hilton Head Christian scored its lone goal on a penalty kick.
Battery Creek 11, Burke 1: John Saullo scored four goals, Cal Slade scored three goals and William Lopez had two goals and two assists to lead the Dolphins (5-4, 3-2 Region 6-AA) to an easy region win.
Matt Strever and Luis Castillo scored the other two goals for Battery Creek. Miguel Mejia had two assists, while Tre Saunders, Caleb Campbell, Gabriel Pineda, Minh Dang and Jon Hill each added an assist.
Battery Creek hosts Academic Magnet at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Hilton Head Prep 7, First Baptist 1: Ryan Henderson and Archer Brooks scored two goals apiece to help send Hilton Head Prep to an easy region win.
Teron Daley, Amit Kohli and Noah Sulek scored the other goals for the Dolphins (7-6 overall, 2-1 region). Logan Clark had three assists, Andrew Spencer had two and Sean O'Connor finished with one. Goalies Zen Wiggins and Zenon Parker made one save each.
Hilton Head Prep plays at Pinewood Prep at 7 p.m. Friday.
Hilton Head Christian 6, Beaufort Academy 2: Lexi Lainhart found the net four times, and Hilton Head Christian scored four goals in the second half to pull away from Beaufort Academy.
Audrey Bensch and Abigail Bensch added one goal apiece for Hilton Head Christian, which led 2-1 at halftime.
Miranda Weslake scored both goals for Beaufort Academy.
Meaghan Gillis made four saves for Hilton Head Christian, including a couple of stops against Weslake on breakaways.
Hilton Head Christian (13-4) plays at Northwood Academy at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Beaufort High 3, Fort Dorchester 1: The Eagles climbed above .500 with the Region 8-AAAA win, getting goals from Molly Murphy, Elise Dean and Tori Owens.
Kayla King made 10 saves in goal for Beaufort High.
The Eagles (6-5-1 overall, 4-2 region) next host North Gwinnett (Ga.) on Thursday.
Hilton Head Prep 5, First Baptist 1: The Dolphins got off to a slow start, giving up a goal in the first 10 minutes, but quickly regained their balance and overpowered First Baptist.
Hannah Parker, Allie Santorum, Megan Frederick, Halie Parker and Carley Willey each scored a goal for the Dolphins (7-6 overall, 3-4 region). Hannah Parker, Frederick, Willey and Santorum each had an assist.
Hilton Head Prep plays at Pinewood Prep at 5 p.m. Friday.
Porter-Gaud 3, Hilton Head Prep 0 (Monday): The Dolphins played shorthanded and came away empty against a Porter-Gaud team that had a definite height advantage.
Hilton Head Prep, which played without three of its regular starters, used six eighth-graders during the loss.
Thomas Heyward Academy 17, St. Andrew's 4: Seth Jones earned the win on the mound and went 3 for 3 with a pair of RBIs and four runs scored to lead the Rebels (7-5, 3-0 SCISAA Region 1-AA).
Conner Driscoll was 2 for 5 with three RBIs, J.D. Tuten was 2 for 2 with two RBIs and Forrest Richardson was 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored for Thomas Heyward, which hosts Calhoun Prep at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The Boys Varsity 4 boat, manned by Thomas Shevlin, Tommy Berrigan, Devin Baden, Dillon Lysinger and coxswain Bo McCallister and coached by Lu Strayer, won bronze, while Ryan Bishop and Christian Bruegger won gold in the Masters Pairs.
