HHH girls soccer team faces test on road

If defending state champion Hilton Head Island High School is going to return to the Class 3-A girls state soccer championship game Friday, it's first going to have to pass a difficult test on the road.

The Seahawks (23-2) travel to face Brookland-Cayce at 7 tonight.

"I expect my girls to go out and play their best," Seahawks coach Ernie Suozzi said. "They're a good team. We're going to have to play well, possess the ball well and be patient.

"It's real easy to get jacked up. We have to absorb the emotion of the first 10 minutes or so and possess the ball."

The Bearcats (21-4) are led by senior forward Noel McDaniel, who was named all-state and the most valuable player of Region 5-AAA.
