Prep Roundup, May 10: Beaufort Academy girls reach SCISAA soccer final

Miranda Weslake scored twice and Mary Alice Strohmeyer added a goal as the Beaufort Academy girls soccer team defeated The King's Academy 3-0 on Tuesday night to advance to the SCISAA 1-A/2-A state championship.

The Eagles will face Oakbrook Prep at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the University of South Carolina's Stone Stadium.

BOYS SOCCER

Ridgeland 5, Burke 0 (Tuesday): The Jaguars won their Class 1-A playoff opener to advance to play top-seeded Blackville-Hilda tonight.

BOYS TENNIS

Aiken 4, Beaufort 0 (Tuesday): The Eagles' season came to an end in the Lower State Semifinals. Eagles malcolm Kates andd James Bachety will compete in the State Singles Tournament held May 18-19 at the Lexington Tennis Center. Kates is seeded fifth.
