SCTCCCA Coaches Classic: Hilton Head High's Jack Manesiotis finished third in a time of 15 minutes, 41 seconds Saturday at Sandhills Research Center in Columbia, helping the Seahawks finish third as a team in the 30-team International division.
Faith Lifer led the Seahawks to eighth place in the girls' International division, finishing 14th (19:58).
Joshua Tierney was 22nd (17:32) to help Bluffton's boys take eighth in the 48-team Championship division. Beaufort High was 33rd and Battery Creek finished 43rd.
Scottie House came across 32nd (21:20) to guide Bluffton to eighth in the girls Championship division. Beaufort High was 30th and Battery Creek was 43rd.
Lexington won the boys International category, and the girls side was won by Wando. Bishop England was the boys Championship division winner. Heathwood Hall was the girls champ.
Hilton Head High's Sam Beattie won the JV Boys 7th-9th race with a time of 17:32. Evans Beach of Bluffton was 13th (18:59) in the JV Boys 10th-12th race. Ciara McMahon of Hilton Head High placed seventh (21:36) in the JV Girls event.

Hilton Head Christian Invitational: Pinewood Prep's boys and Hammond School's girls finished on top in the 10-team SCISAA meet Saturday at the Island Recreation Center pool.
Beaufort Academy's boys finished fourth, while Hilton Head Christian's boys took seventh. On the girls' side, Beaufort Academy was fifth and the Christian Academy placed sixth.
"Our team swam with great strength," Hilton Head Christian coach Melanie Hilton said. "Very proud of them."
Hilton Head Christian's Charlie Guenther had the top performance from the local teams, winning the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1 minute, 10.5 seconds.
Beaufort Academy's Preston Suber was second in the 100 freestyle.
Hilton Head Christian's Ashley Weaver had the best effort from the area's girls, taking second in the 200 individual medley.

Hilton Head Christian: The Eagles dropped a pair of matches over the weekend, falling 3-0 to Ashley Hall on Friday and 3-0 to Pinewood Prep on Saturday. The losses put the Christian Academy at 0-3 in their region. The Eagles play at Bible Baptist on Monday.
