Battery Creek's Jamison lands with new juco football program

DaQuan Jamison hasn't visited the school where he'll play football in the fall, but he is eager to start.

The former Battery Creek standout was recognized this week for earning a spot on the squad at Greenville Technical College, a new junior college program.

Former Battery Creek coach Carlos Cave sent Greenville Tech coaches Jamison's tape. A few days later, Jamison received a call. He said the coaches liked his speed on the defensive line. Jamison has yet to visit the school but said it would be a priority before beginning workouts.

Jamison, who was an all-region selection his final season with the Dolphins, said he expected a full load right away.

"It's going to be a lot of work in the summer," he said.
