Porter-Gaud 54, Hilton Head Christian 37: The Eagles trailed by four at halftime, but the host Cyclones pulled away after the break.

K.J. James led Porter-Gaud with 17 points.

Taylor MacDonald scored 13 points and JaBrook Tucker had nine for the Christian Academy, which wraps up its regular season with an overall record of 14-9 and a mark of 2-6 in SCISAA Region 3-AAA. The first round of the SCISAA boys playoffs begins Saturday at a neutral site.

Northwood Academy 58, Hilton Head Christian 55 (Friday): The Christian Academy took a lead in the fourth quarter but couldn't hold on.

JaBrook Tucker finished with 19 points and five assists. Brad Meccariello added 10 points and four assists, and Chris Andrews hit three 3-pointers to help keep the Eagles in the game. Taylor MacDonald had a team-high seven rebounds.

Alex McMeekin led Northwood Academy with 18 points.


Porter-Gaud 46, Hilton Head Christian 35: A fatigued Eagles squad, playing its second game on back-to-back days, suffered a road loss after trailing by only seven, 19-12, at halftime.

Porter-Gaud earned the win to cap its Senior Day celebrations.

Anna Bensch had 10 points, 10 rebounds and four assists for Hilton Head Christian. Jaden Colella chipped in nine points, seven rebounds and four assists.
