VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL

Hilton Head High 50, West Adelaide (Australia) 36: Michael Julian and Desmond Bush posted double-doubles to lead the Seahawks to their second win in as many nights.

Julian scored 13 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked five shots. Bush had 16 points and 11 rebounds. Alex MacDonald added 13 points.

The Seahawks (7-7) open region play Tuesday when they host Cane Bay at 7:30 p.m.

Coastal Christian 64, Beaufort Academy 56: A 30-13 deficit after the first quarter was too much for the Eagles to overcome. Beaufort Academy outscored the hosts 22-10 in the fourth.

Jack Griffith led the Eagles with 19 points, including 10 in the final quarter. He also chipped in six rebounds and four steals. Preston Suber added 12 points and 14 rebounds, and Michael Bible had seven points and 10 boards for the Eagles (3-6), who host Bible Baptist tonight.

Coastal Christian improved to 8-3.

VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL

Beaufort Academy 49, Coastal Christian 30: The Eagles earned the road win, holding the hosts scoreless over the final quarter.

Miranda Weslake led Beaufort Academy with 26 points and seven steals. Catherine Neal contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Beaufort Academy improved to 6-4. The Eagles host Bible Baptist tonight.

VARSITY WRESTLING

Hilton Head High 58, Berkeley 15: The Seahawks won in 11 weight classes, including victories by fall for Label Lewis at 119 pounds, Matt Johns at 125, Chad Dimmock at 171 and Nick Bautista at 215.

Other winners for Hilton Head High included Chris Ordonez (130), Campbell Miller (135), Aaron Facenda (145) and Lewis McKeliver (160).

The Seahawks return to action today and Saturday at Battery Creek's dual tournament.
