The Bluffton and Hilton Head High girls golf teams qualified for the state tournament by finishing among the top six out of 17 teams in Monday's Class 3-A Lower State match at Beech Creek Golf Club in Sumter.
Bluffton came in third place with 328 points and Hilton Head High was fourth at 331.
"The team had a good day hitting the ball," Bluffton coach David Crosby said. "Putting was tough. Between the four scores that we counted, we had 18 three-putt greens."
Sammie Buchanan led the Bobcats with a 77, followed by Kylie Nizolek with a 79. Brandi Hammonds fired an 81, Kasidy Beckel had a 91 and Hayley Trimmer turned in a 90.

"Overall, this has been a good year," Crosby said. "We will be working on our short-game this week and feel we are in a position to finish first or second in the state tournament with consistent play."
For Hilton Head High, Jackie Budidharma fired an 81, Nathalie Lezcano had an 81, Lilly Bartell had an 82, Samantha O'Donnell had an 87 and Amanda Dart had a 106.
AC Flora took first place with 320 points and Chapin was second at 326. Chesterfield was fifth at 367 and Berkeley was sixth at 383.
The state tournament is set for Oct. 25-26 in Myrtle Beach.
