Coach's prognosis for 2009: "I expect us to compete for the region championship again this season. We have a great group of girls returning this season, but some of them are in different positions. Once they learn the new positions, we will be very competitive with everyone we play."

Coach's prognosis for 2009:Although we lost seven seniors last year, the team has a lot of young talent and potential in the players that have come up from JV in addition to our seasoned returning players.

Coach's prognosis for 2009: "It's going to be a tough year with only three returning starters. But on the first day of school we had 15 girls come out for tryouts, and they appear to want to learn the skills of volleyball. With hard work, I think we can turn things around and be competitive."

GIRLS TENNIS

We want to continue to grow our junior varsity because today's JV is tomorrow's varsity."

Coach's prognosis for 2009: "We lost 50 percent of last year's state runner-up team, so depth will be an issue, but the Seahawks should again be a contender for the state championship in Class 3-A, provided we can stay healthy and injury-free."

Coach's prognosis for 2009: "The girls lack the depth of Riverside and J.L. Mann, but we do have a chance to bring home a state title. The boys have 12 on the squad this year, which is the biggest squad in over seven years, and they have the chance to make an impact at the state meet."
