WHHI-TV to broadcast 10 prep football games

For the second consecutive season, WHHI-TV will broadcast area high school football games on "The Friday Night Football Zone" beginning this week.

The tentative schedule includes 10 games, eight of which will be broadcast live and two of which will be shown on tape delay because of earlier start times. All games will be replayed at 9 a.m. Saturday and at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The schedule begins Friday with Hilton Head Preparatory School hosting Dorchester Academy. The game begins at 5 p.m., but the tape-delayed broadcast will begin about 8 p.m. The Dolphins are scheduled to make two more appearances during the season.

The selected games are subject to change, but as of now Bluffton High School is slated to appear four times, Hilton Head Island High School three times, Hilton Head Christian Academy twice and Battery Creek High School once.

Tim Wood will be back on play-by-play, with Chuck Zapiec joining him as a color analyist.
