Golfer Day's big year continues with birth of second child

A huge year for PGA Championship winner Jason Day hit another high point this week when Day welcomed his second child into the family.

Lucy Adenil Day was born Wednesday in Ohio, one day before Jason's 28th birthday. She joins big brother Dash, who became a bit of a media darling with his sprints onto the green to greet his dad after winning.

Day won four times in August and September to rise to the world No. 1 ranking.

Day, whose caddie and coach Colin Swatton is a Belfair resident, went on a lengthy break after the Presidents Cup to attend to wife Ellie's final weeks of pregnancy.

He now stands No. 2 in the rankings, as Jordan Spieth reclaimed the top spot last week. Day also is sitting out the Australian Open in his homeland, with an expected return at the Hero World Challenge in early December in the Bahamas.
