Sand Sharks finish third in NAIA Women's Fall Preview

The USC Beaufort women's golf team moved up one spot after a final round of 312 on Tuesday to finish third in the NAIA Women's Fall Preview at Link Hills Country Club in Greenville, Tenn.

The Sand Sharks finished the 36-hole event at 623, six shots behind champion Lee and two shots behind runner-up and Sun Conference rival Northwood.

Kendra Collins (79-76--155) led the Sand Sharks with a tie for seventh, followed by freshman Tori DeGroodt (78-79--157) and Phyllis Langley (81-76--157), who tied for 11th. Adriana Saavedra (75-84--159) tied for 18th, and Kelli Nakano (79-81--160) tied for 23rd.

USCB is back in action Oct. 17-18 at the Charleston Southern Wendy's Invitational at Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston.
