The wait is over for the USC Beaufort women's golf team.
The Sand Sharks learned Thursday they will be among the 25 teams that will compete for the title at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, which is set for May 17-20 at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
It's the second consecutive trip to nationals for USCB, which finished seventh last year.
The Sand Sharks were the fourth of nine at-large selections and one of three Sun Conference teams to earn at-large bids, along with Embry-Riddle and SCAD Savannah. Northwood earned an automatic bid by winning the Sun Conference Championship last month.
