Top-seeded Alexa Graham and second-seeded Ulrikke Eikeri continued on their collision course Friday at The Shipyard Cup at the Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club on Hilton Head Island.

The women’s $10,000 ITF Pro Series event was in its second day of main draw play.

Graham knocked off sixth-seeded Raveena Kinglsey 6-1, 7-6(3) and Eikeri beat unseeded Caroline Price 6-2, 6-3 to advance to Saturday’s semifinals.

Graham will face Makenna Jones, a 7-6(6), 6-3 winner over Martina Frantova, while Eikeri will play Alexandra Perper, a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Nicole Coopersmith.

In doubles, there was a big upset.

Alexa Bortles, cousin of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles, and her partner, Lauren Herring knocked off the top-seeded pair of Sophie Chang and Eikere 7-6(7), 7-5.

Bortles and Herring will face the second-seeded duo of Madeleine Kobelt and  Nika Kukharchuk, who beat Melissa Kopinski and Mara Schmidt 4-6, 7-6(2), [10-2].

The singles semifinals and doubles final will start at 9 a.m. as tournament organizers try to complete play before rain moves into the area.

The event is free and open to the public.
