CLEMSON -- The Clemson baseball team split a doubleheader with Duke on Saturday afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, winning the opener 8-4 before seeing the Blue Devils take a 13-1 win in the series finale.
Every Tiger starter had at least one hit, and Zack Erwin pitched 4 1-3 scoreless innings in relief in Clemson's win. Erwin (2-0) walked one and allowed three hits while striking out three.
Garrett Boulware went 2 for 4 with two RBIs to lead Clemson's 12-hit attack. Steve Wilkerson had two doubles, and Tyler Slaton and Shane Kennedy also had two hits for the Tigers.
Jeff Kremer went 3 for 5 with a double and run for Duke, which had 12 hits in the opener. Duke starter Drew Van Orden (1-3) took the loss, giving up five runs in 3 innings.

Duke broke open the second game with eight runs in the fourth inning, going on to a 13-1 win and ending Clemson's eight-game winning streak in the series.
Andy Perez led Duke's 15-hit attack, finishing a home run shy of the cycle. He was 3 for 4 with five RBIs. Grant McCabe went 3 for 6 for Duke (12-12 overall, 3-6 ACC).
Robert Huber (3-2), the first of three Duke hurlers, earned the win in 6 innings. He gave up five hits, one run, and four walks.
Jon McGibbon had two hits for Clemson (15-8 overall, 5-4 ACC). Tiger starter Scott Firth (2-4) got the loss, as he yielded eight hits, six runs, and two walks in 3 1-3 innings.
Clemson will face Georgia in a home-and-home series starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Athens, Ga.
