Livvy Dunne Goes Viral For Reaction to Paul Skenes' Rough Game

Former LSU gymnast and current actress Livvy Dunne is a regular at Pittsburgh Pirates games when her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, is on the mound, but his recent outing against the Toronto Blue Jays wasn’t his best.

Skenes faced Toronto’s Georges Springer in the bottom of the first inning, throwing two consecutive four-seam fastball strikes. However, his third pitch, a 97 miles per hour fastball, got absolutely crushed by Springer, who took it deep to give the Jays a 1-0 lead.

Dunne was shown in a video cheering on Skenes, then showing her frustration after he gave up a home run. The clip quickly gained traction on social media, garnering thousands of likes and hundreds of comments on X.

In the video, Dunne is shown yelling, “Let’s go, Paul!” and then watching as Springer smacks the ball out of the park. Her cheers quickly turn into several curse words as Skenes’ girlfriend is clearly disappointed and frowns in her seat after that.

Various accounts on X, including Jomboy Media, shared the clip, and reactions were mostly positive toward Dunne’s support for her boyfriend’s MLB performances.

“I give her a lot of credit she knew based off the sound off the bat. That’s someone who legit watches the game,” a commenter wrote.

Others said, “think shes just competitive? Nothing wrong in her reaction,” and “Yea cause she knows the pirates can’t come back once they are down. Game was over after that.”

“Springer homering off Skenes? Paul already getting used to pitching for the Yankees,” someone said, suggesting Skenes will ultimately leave the Pirates to join the New York Yankees.

Skenes’ day didn’t get much better. While he remained in the game for five innings, he gave up nine hits and four runs during that time.

The Blue Jays went on to capture a 5-2 win, which dropped the Pirates to 26-26 and 13-13 on the road this season. Just like Dunne was frustrated, Skenes was likely frustrated over his latest performance.

They met through mutual acquaintances while attending LSU, and Skenes confirmed they were dating in August 2023. The rest is history. Throughout their three-year relationship, Dunne is often seen at his side or watching from the stands during his big events and award ceremonies.

Skenes is now 6-4 for the season, which is his third with Pittsburgh. The former LSU ace started his career strong, winning the NL Rookie of the Year in 2024 and Cy Young in 2025.

He’s also achieved two All-Star Game selections in his young career. The pitching woes appear to be early growing pains for the young star, and with Dunne remaining supportive, he’ll likely regain his focus for a better performance in his next game.

That arrives at 12:15 p.m. ET on Sunday when they wrap up their series with the Blue Jays in Toronto.
