Dart, who had a great rookie season with the Giants, introduced Trump at Friday's campaign event in Suffern, New York. He called it an "honor" and "privilege" to welcome the president of the United States onto the stage.
"What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here," Dart said. "Without further ado, I'm grateful, I'm honored, I'm pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump."
Dart's decision to attend Trump's rally that didn't sit well with at least one of his teammates.
"Thought this s- was AI, what we doing man," Giants pass rusher Abdul Carter wrote on X.
Giants fans who aren't fond of the current president rushed over to Dart's Instagram page and voiced their disapproval.
What did John Harbaugh have to say?
On Saturday morning, a social media user by the name of "Wesley Steinberg" said Harbaugh reprimanded Carter for his comments.
"Giants HC John Harbaugh called Abdul Carter this morning and preached the importance of keeping politics out of football and putting the team first," Steinberg tweeted.
Anyone familiar with Steinberg knows this is strictly a parody account. So no, Harbaugh didn't discipline Carter for his social media post. Of course, he could meet with Carter and Dart in the near future.
For what it's worth, Harbaugh received an endorsement from Trump earlier this year.
"It did surprise me," Harbaugh said. "All of a sudden I started getting bing bing bing. My phone starts going off and there it is. It's like man, okay, I guess that's where he's the president, you know. I guess that's what we're going to do."
Giants fans are eager to see how Harbaugh handles this messy situation in the locker room.
