Anthony Edwards Reveals Message on Spurs Star Victor Wembanyama
It's been over a week since the series between the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves ended, yet discussions about how intense the games were continue. While the physicality of the series may be over, Anthony Edwards' strong comments about Victor Wembanyama have now emerged.
While he continues to make a statement on the court, Edwards has also been frequently posting videos on his YouTube channel. The 24-year-old shares unfiltered conversations on the platform, reflecting on series and games that have just wrapped up. In his latest video, Edwards' honest reaction to the NBA Western Conference Semifinals was revealed.
One of the most unexpected moments of the entire series took place in Game 4, when Wembanyama was ejected for the first time in his NBA career after elbowing Timberwolves forward Naz Reid. Edwards was upset about the moment as he said, "That (expletive) is like 8'5 when he spread out. The rim ain't nothing but 10 feet! You got to put that (expletive) so high above the rim. He's like a statue."
The reaction was recorded after Game 4 but posted only after the series had finished. The frustration didn't stop there for the 4-time NBA All-Star, as he pointed out how difficult it is to beat the Spurs when Wemby is on the floor. Edwards added, "I was so happy that (expletive) got kicked out. I hope they suspend him. Imma email the (expletive) right now!"
While many expected the NBA to take stricter action against the Spurs star, no suspension was announced. Moreover, Edwards' jibe also hinted at the respect he has for Wemby. The urgency to get rid of the 2026 NBA Defensive Player of the Year reflects just how dominant the Spurs star was throughout the series.
Ant-Man led the series in scoring with 142 points, while Wembanyama's 25 blocks helped him lead that category. The 7-foot-4 Frenchman has continued his hot form against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Western Conference Finals.
Though the Spurs have suffered a deficit for the first time in this year's playoffs, fans will expect Wemby to elevate his game even further. As for Edwards, he will hope to bounce back stronger next season after another disappointing playoff exit.
