I noticed the Jasper County school board is still letting Alina Hamilton-Clark vote at the board meetings, even though her son attends a public school in Beaufort County, where he is said to live.
The Childs & Halligan law firm from Columbia stated that for Hamilton-Clark to complete her term is acceptable.
I am a resident of Jasper County and I believe she has no interest in the quality of education in Jasper County. As such, she should recuse herself or resign immediately.
In fact, any vote she made since Aug. 1 should be deleted from the minutes. If we set the precedent that any outsider can vote on how our tax dollars are utilized, we are condoning taxation with bogus representation.
Jasper County is full of contradictory activities, and, it is no wonder that the FBI and the IRS are searching the school district's financial records.
