Situation at VA is unforgivable

Everyday seems to reveal another blatant example of the incompetency of President Obama and his band of useless appointees. While the hapless media portrays most of it as political fodder from Republicans, how can any right-minded American ignore the situation with the VA hospitals and their treatment (or lack of treatment) of the many veterans? This didn't begin on Obama's watch. However, he campaigned in 2007 on creating a new Veterans Affairs Department to correct a deplorable situation. It's just another campaign promise down the drain. So, he evidently knew about the problem but chose not to do anything about it.

Since 2010, more than $100 million in bonuses have been paid to VA employees while veterans waited months for treatment or even a diagnosis. I am certain that many good people work at the VA and some veterans received the help that they needed.

But it sure seems that the system in general is in dire need of a makeover. The administration gives lip service to our veterans. But no one in this corrupt cabal has a clue what it is like to risk your life, day in and day out, to protect your fellow Americans, and then get this kind of response from the VA. This president is more likely to extend help to an illegal worker than a veteran.
