Beaufort City Council has been seeking residents' input for a "vision" for the city's future. At a cost of only a million or two (who really knows the total cost) council members have fed their egos with advanced thinking and the creation of a 100-year plan.
The poor quality of their "vision" has been shown. Resident totally rejected the plan for the marina parking lot. See what you can buy with $2 million dollars of other people's money? Couldn't that money have been better spent to repair the city docks, install street lights or make up for the $330,000 short fall in the budget?
