Important to understand goals, beliefs of neocons

We're being conned by neocons. Who are they and what are their values? Neocons:

  • Are for redrawing the map of the Middle East and willing to use force to do so.
  • Believe in pre-emptive war to achieve desired ends.
  • Accept that the end justifies the means.
  • Express no opposition to the welfare-warfare state.
  • Strongly endorse an American empire.
  • Believe lying and secrecy are necessary for the state to survive.
  • Believe a powerful federal government is essential.
  • Believe that a society should be run by a favored, unquestioned elite.
  • Believe, unlike our Founders, that neutrality in foreign affairs is ill-advised.
  • Believe worldwide imperialism is appropriate.
  • Inflict American might on peaceful countries and never imagine that force should be limited to the defense of one's country.
  • Erroneously believe that 9-11 resulted from the lack of foreign entanglements, not from too many.
  • Despise those who most respect liberty (libertarians) and strict constitutionalists.
  • Endorse attacks on civil liberties, such as those found in the Patriot Act.
  • Preach that the world should be ruled by Judeo-Christian traditions, in opposition to other superstitions.
  • Unconditionally endorse the 1948 violent takeover of peaceful Palestine by foreign Jews.
  • Indeed, this might explain why neocons are determined to use such strategies to radically undermine the noble principles upon which this nation was founded.
