Letters to the Editor

Thank you to all for making 26th annual All Saints Garden Tour a success

As chairman of the 26th annual All Saints Garden Tour, I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this fundraiser such a success. We generated $25,800 in proceeds for six local charities that are working hard to help with homelessness, literacy and hunger.

First, we thank those who graciously opened their gardens to the community. Without the hospitality of Theodora Feldberg, Barbara and Alex Kasten, Sandy and Bob Lundberg, Betty and Bob Manne, Bev and Dave Morse, and Patti Peacock, we could not have had the Garden Tour.

We also thank our corporate sponsors: The Bedminster Group Investment Advisors, Munchies, Pino Gelato, RSVP Hilton Head Direct Mail, Shelter Cove Wine & Spirits, Taylors Quality Landscape Supply and The Jazz Corner. Much gratitude also goes to our 45 individual sponsors.

This year's grant recipients are Bluffton Backpack Buddies, Hilton Head Backpack Buddies, Family Promise of Beaufort County, Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry, Neighborhood Outreach Connection and Thumbs Up.

Special kudos go to the Garden Tour board members, who have been so generous with their time, as well as all the members of All Saints Episcopal Church, who so graciously have supported the tours over the years.

And finally, thanks to each of you for your support of this year's event. While touring some of the finest gardens in our area, you have also helped so many local individuals in need. Since the inception of the Garden Tour, All Saints has donated more than $450,000 to local charities.
