Crime page runs risk of glorifying criminals

I have never written to the newspaper before, but when I saw the front-page story on the new crime page, I was in total shock.

Talk about one minute of fame. When will the criminals get their gold medals? There may be nothing wrong with putting all of the crime information on one page or website, but to advertise it on the front page certainly gives a lot of criminals exactly what they want -- their minute of fame.

Will there be a page for the victims or the majority of people who do good in their communities? We need more of that and not special pages for those who do wrong.

What has our world come to? We sure need to put God back in our community instead of the devil and evil ones.
