Fresh reporting uncovers a stratagem to crush President Barack Obama and ruin America, a conspiracy concocted on inauguration day, January 20, 2009.
Robert Draper's book "Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives" exposes that top Republican lawmakers and strategists conspired to ruin Obama's presidency within hours of his oath.
Those January conspirators were: Reps. Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, Paul Ryan, Pete Sessions, Jeb Hensarling, Pete Hoekstra, Dan Lungren and Sens. Jim DeMint, Jon Kyl, Tom Coburn, John Ensign, Bob Corke, along with Newt Gingrich and Frank Luntz. These collaborators, agreeing to actively sabotage our government, united in an immoral, anti-American -- anything but Christian -- desire to lay waste to our country to win back the White House, with total disregard for their homeland.
Draper's account reveals the strategy to thwart Obama's legislative platform using three steps: Campaign vociferously against cabinet nominees; coerce unanimous House votes to block all economic stimulus legislation; and unrelenting attack ads.
Entrenched Republicans share a particular personality trait of marching lock-step despite public dislike of their stance and facts. That "loyal" Americans even considered this strategy, regardless of the damage to our country, is shocking. I will never understand any U.S. citizen countenancing this betrayal. These people deserve our scorn, not our votes. Please vote for teamwork, not stalemate.
