We continue to read articles about the infringement on the rights of the Roman Catholic Church resulting from the Obama administration's directives under the health care law.
That is only a particularization of the real matter about which we the people need to be concerned. In fact, this concentration of commentary on birth control, abortion, etc., distracts us from the real issue at hand.
The real issue with which we need to be concerned is the abrogation of our individual rights given us in the Constitution. It does not matter which one of our rights is being abridged or indeed eliminated. The problem is that our federal government is attacking our Bill of Rights. Whether it is the right to keep and bear arms, to speak freely, to practice our individual religion, or whatever, a right is being infringed upon. The call for us to stand up and resist as Americans is loud and clear. If we allow any of our constitutional rights to be eliminated or watered down by the federal government, then that is the end of what makes us the United States of America.
I beg: Please, do not miss the point.
