Our "friend" in Washington, in order to try to garner a block of votes, has decided that all health insurance policies should include specific coverage.
That targeted block is all in favor of this proposal and is writing letters to the editor in support. One such letter suggested that only individuals have a choice as to what to do. Really? Is not a business, made up of people, entitled to a choice?
Actually, a business should have a free choice as to whether it wants to provide insurance at all. Many do not. The main risk they take is the quality of employee that might want to work for them. That is their risk. The business should also be able to pick the coverage it wants to carry -- anything and everything or "bare bones." It's their choice.
America was designed to be a free society. It should not be one where only one person tells us what to do, and no one has a choice.
