Regulate both business, government spending

Fact, confirmed over and over through the ages: Unregulated, private enterprise will lie, cheat and steal in order to protect and enhance their bottom line.

We've suffered through recent evidence of this.

However, there's a voice from the right calling for ending or severely limiting government restriction on business. Good idea? I don't think so.

But the voices say private enterprise needs stability in order to grow the economy.

OK, here's stability: Government will restrict business activities going forward.

That ought to take care of that.

Fact, confirmed over and over through the ages: Unregulated, governments will pluck every dollar out of your pocket in order to enhance their kingdom. Plucking pennies seems to be beneath them.

We've seen plenty of evidence of this as well.

There are voices calling from the left for more and more and more of our money for the government to do their thing.

Good idea? I don't think so.

It's not just one or the other. It's both. It always has been, is now and forever will be. Should we be doing a better job of regulating both? Now, there's a good idea.
