Just unbelievable. I was going to give myself a raise last year, but instead I fired staff and had to suck it up, like many people today. Only a $40,000 raise? Did this guy (Tim Singleton, president of Strive to Excel) get a conscience?
And for Strive board member Tom Gardo to say it's not excessive to get paid nearly $140,000 for this job, I say give it a break. And of course Bob Arundell didn't want to question his "son."
Please, leave the political correctness at the door. I'm sorry, but this dysfunctional board wasn't paying attention, and this should be investigated.
I'll make a public proposal today and offer to take the job over for $70,000. That'll save $68,000, and believe me, I won't whine. By the way, I'll coach the golf team for free.
