GOP plan for Medicare would be step backward

The time has come to tell Congress that enough is enough.

House Republicans voted to end the current Medicare system, but protect tax breaks for billionaires and Big Oil.

This reckless privatization scheme is an insult to every hard-working American who has paid into Medicare.

The GOP budget would almost double health care costs for seniors, according to an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office. Since passing their reckless budget plan, they have made false claims their plan protects today's seniors. This plan, which would bring back the coverage gap in the Medicare prescription drug benefit, would force seniors to pay an additional $2.2 billion for prescription drugs annually.

This plan would still raise the deficit by billions, with no savings to middle-class Americans. Write and call your representatives. Let them know we will not stand for this absurdity.
