All the new signs are not the solution

I am writing in regard to the overabundance of signs, flashing lights and the road paintings that are supposed to make the entry and exit at Windmill Harbour safer.

By count, there are 12 signs in all. Four of the signs have flashing lights.

In my opinion, this makes it more confusing for drivers. Not only that, the signs are an eyesore as one arrives on Hilton Head Island. They do nothing for the safety of the residents of Windmill Harbour.

What would be wrong with a simple sensor traffic light? Do we really need that many signs that do nothing to slow the traffic? If someone could explain this to me, I would really appreciate it.

I do not live in Windmill Harbour, but I do have friends who live there. I feel as though I take my life in my own hands every time I go to visit.
