Report on federal debt offers misleading picture

The front page sub-headline in Sunday's Packet is very misleading.

It states that $1.7 trillion of new debt is attributed to President Barack Obama and $7 trillion to former President George W. Bush.

To whom should we attribute the balance of the $15 trillion debt forecast for 2011? It could be said that Bush is responsible for less than half of the forecasted national debt. Neither statement would be factual or objective, but what mainstream media reporting is?
