Proposal for eco park not very eco-friendly

I recently read your story on the plans for an "eco-tour park" along Broad Creek.

I am surprised that there has not been an outcry over this planned development. A park is a park, no matter what you call it, especially when the plans call for building it on a marsh. That's not very eco-friendly. As the old saying goes, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck, it is a duck.

What is really upsetting is that the Land Management Ordinance Committee is in favor of this, and on top of that, it has identified seven locations on the island that they favor for outdoor recreation development. Are we to become another Coney Island, or worse yet, another Myrtle Beach?
