Where was team coach in marijuana incident?

How can it be that marijuana was found on a school bus transporting student team members?

The bus driver stops the bus on the interstate to put a stop to the smoking. He discovers the incident by the smell of the illegal drug being smoked. Where was the coach?

After all, if the bus driver could smell it in the front of the bus, the coach should have smelled it and should have known something had to be done.

Coaches have to be leaders and disciplinarians, not just one of the boys and girls on a fun trip. They are responsible; no excuses. Remember there were other students on the bus who were not part of this incident. They deserve the respect and protection of those in charge.
