I can't figure out where President Barack Obama's priorities lie.
In 2009, the Iranians had a revolution and the military and police arrested and killed many men and women. We sat in the comfort of our living rooms watching them getting mauled and killed. This went on for 10 days and our president remained silent. This was the time he should have spoken out against the Mullahs, who are worse than dictators, and supported the Iranian people who were waiting for our support.
In 2010, our country went through our own quiet revolution as the tea party was formed. They demonstrated throughout our country because they were concerned with too much spending and the direction our country was going. Our president and the Democratic Party called them names.
In January, Egypt erupted and initially we received mixed messages from the White House. Obama finally supported the people, who included the Muslim Brotherhood, an anti-American, anti-Israel group. He threw our ally of 30 years under the bus as is his practice when he feels it will benefit him. Hosni Mubarak was a dictator, but he kept peace in the Middle East and with Israel. The military is now in charge, and the Muslim Brotherhood, an Iranian sponsored terrorist group, might eventually take control. What did Obama accomplish, other than probably losing Egypt forever?
We lost Iran through the weakness of President Jimmy Carter and are in the process of losing Egypt through the weakness of Obama.
